Take Your Kids on the Most Exciting Educational Adventures in Kansas This Winter

Adventures In Kansas

With a remarkable family friendly atmosphere on the menu, there are lots of ways for you and your kids to enjoy living in or visiting the state of Kansas this winter. Places like the Johnson County Museum of History and Burr Oak Woods Nature Center are practically made for kids, and even adults can enjoy the exciting and highly educational experience of visiting them.

One of the main places your kids will want to see once you’re in Kansas City is, of course, the Kansas City Zoo. Here they’ll see everything from polar bears and penguins to warmer habitats located indoors, such as the Rainforest building, which will make you feel like you’re really taking a step in the beautiful Amazon rainforests. If your kids want to see sharks and seahorses, don’t forget to also check out the SEA LIFE Aquarium located at Crown Center.

If you’re a fan of holiday decorations, you have to check out the Strawberry Hill Museum. Here you’ll find unique decorations gathered from more than 30 countries and a lot of useful and fascinating information about different cultures.  At Penney Construction your local Wichita roofers we are all about family fun.

Finally, you can’t leave Kansas without visiting some of the wonderful natural reserves and nature centers like the Lakeside Nature Center in Swope Park. Don’t miss out on the famous bison and elk enclosure at Lake Jacomo. Here you can see a number of bison and elk living at the Native Hoofed Animal Enclosure.
